The University of Portland has received a $25,000 grant from the Esco Foundation of Portland for the development of an interdisciplinary makerspace in the Donald P. Shiley School of Engineering.

Christine Sinclair '06, former UP soccer powerhouse was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada, one of Canada's highest honors, second only to membership in the Order of Merit which is a personal gift of Queen Elizabeth II.
