Brian Doyle, award-winning author and editor of the University of Portland’s acclaimed Portland Magazine, passes away on May 27

The University of Portland lost a beloved member of our community when Brian Doyle, award-winning author and editor of Portland magazine for 25 years, passed away early this morning, May 27, 2017 from complications related to a brain tumor.

Eight students from New Mexico will attend the University of Portland on a full ride scholarship this upcoming fall, thanks to the Davis New Mexico Scholarship, which provides access to higher education for students who will be first in their families to earn a four-year college degree.
Alumnus David Allstot ’69 accepts prestigious position at Oregon State University

Alumnus David Allstot ’69 has accepted a faculty position as a senior research professor at Oregon State University’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Allstot graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering science from the University of Portland in 1969.
