Four University of Portland graduates in the Class of 2024 join two recent UP alumni as recipients of Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards to serve as Fulbright English Teaching Assistants for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Ten members of the University of Portland’s Class of 2020 have been named as Fulbright U.S. Student Program Finalists and offered awards to teach English abroad. It is hoped that Fulbright recipients will be able to travel to their programs in fall 2020; the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has instituted a temporary pause of all Bureau of ECA-funded international exchange programs, including Fulbright.

University of Portland senior Parkes Kendrick has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship. If successful, Kendrick will become the first University of Portland student to be named a Rhodes Scholar.
