Carol Dell'Oliver Hired as Health & Counseling Center Director
Health Center
July 18, 2017

The University of Portland has announced the hiring of Carol Dell’Oliver as director of its Health and Counseling Center, effective August 2, 2017.
Dell’Oliver is a licensed clinical psychologist and is currently director of the Caldwell Counseling Center at Warner Pacific College. In her position there she has provided supervision and clinical training with graduate therapists, crisis intervention and consultation, and counseling to a diverse college population. She has an extensive background in college counseling, supervision, and clinical leadership, as well as experience in providing outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in her private practice.
“We are delighted that Carol Dell’Oliver will be joining our team on The Bluff,” according to Rev. John Donato, C.S.C., vice president for student affairs. “I also wish to offer a special word of thanks to Susan Chisum, the University’s assistant director for primary care, who has served as interim director since May.”
The Health and Counseling Center provides confidential and accessible services from a holistic model of care. Its educational, medical, and counseling services aim to promote optimal health and wellness of students and the campus community. Health and Counseling Center staff are committed to providing an emotionally safe, accessible, and compassionate space for all University of Portland students through integration of multicultural humility and competence, in the belief that all people have dignity and are deserving of respect.
