Inclement Weather Alert February 13-15
February 13, 2021
Dear University of Portland Community,
We write with an update on operations as the inclement weather continues this weekend. Shutdown day protocols will be in place through Monday, February 15, at 7:00 a.m.
Bauccio Commons
Bauccio Commons will remain open so that students residing on campus are able to pick up meals. Staff working in the Commons should contact their supervisors for further instructions.
Staff
Staff who are scheduled to work on campus tomorrow (Sunday, February 14) should contact their supervisors for further instruction.
Student Employees
Student employees who are scheduled to work on campus today or tomorrow, should contact their supervisors to explore the possibility of working remotely.
Clark Library
The physical library building will be closed through Sunday. The library will have reference chat available for research questions; access to online resources will be available on/off-campus; and any books on the hold shelf will remain there for pickup on Monday (i.e., they won't be sent back when their hold time expires).
We note that the current weather forecast is such that we expect to be back to normal operations starting Monday at 7:00 a.m.; we continue to monitor the situation and will issue further communication if it becomes necessary to alter operations for Monday.
Wishing You Warmth, Health and Safety,
Eric Barger, Interim Vice President for Financial Affairs (barger@up.edu)
Herbert A. Medina, Provost (medinah@up.edu)
Jim Ravelli, Vice President for University Operations (ravelli@up.edu)
Sara Westbrook, Director of Campus Safety (westbroo@up.edu)
