March 8 Coronavirus Advisory
March 8, 2020
PLEASE BE ADVISED – If you are experiencing symptoms of fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath, possibly from the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), please refrain from coming to class or work. The University of Portland requests you self-isolate until you have received a medical clearance from your primary health care provider or the Health and Counseling Center. For students in our residence halls, contact your hall staff on duty. UP staff must contact human resources as soon as possible at hr@up.edu or 503.943.8484 if you are suffering from the above-mentioned symptoms. For any impacted UP faculty, please contact your dean or the Office of the Provost.
Anyone with underlying medical conditions that make them especially vulnerable to complications from COVID-19 (Coronavirus) should consult with their medical provider to determine if self-isolation away from campus might be warranted. Based on that medical advice, any student who wishes to avoid coming to campus temporarily should contact their associate dean for guidance.
