Conditional Admission Checklist
We are able to offer conditional admission to undergraduates who are applying for a home government scholarship and need to improve their English language skills prior to beginning classes at University of Portland. Students seeking conditional admission must meet all application requirements, with the exception of an English language proficiency exam score.
Conditionally admitted students:
- Must meet our minimum English language exam score requirement before they can earn full admission and begin classes at University of Portland. (University of Portland accepts a TOEFL iBT score of 71 or above, or an IELTS score of 6.5 or above)
- Upon satisfying the English language exam score will be fully admitted and eligible to begin classes in the next available term.

Checklist for Conditional Admission
- Undergraduate Application:
- First-Year Student Application (for applicants with no post-secondary coursework)
- Transfer Application (for applicants with some college or university coursework)
- Official secondary school records (for students with less than 1 year of university coursework)
- Official ESL, college and/or university transcripts (if applicable)
- Secondary School Report / Recommendation Form (for first-year student applicants only)
- Essay (for first-year student applicants only)
- Written notification that you are applying for a home government scholarship
Note: to insure proper delivery of your admission notification please provide a complete mailing address in the application which includes the address street number or a PO Box number AND a postal code AND a telephone number
All documents submitted to UP become the property of the University and cannot be returned to applicants.

Deadline for nursing transfer applications for Fall and Spring term entry

Deadline for Summer term (starts early may) transfer (non-nursing) applications

Deadline for Fall term (classes begin late August) first-year student and transfer (non-nursing) applications
