Travelers' Lunch - *First Wednesdays
Don’t be afraid to expand yourself, to step out of your comfort zone. That’s where the joy and the adventure lie. -Herbie Hancock.
To participate, join the group seated at the tall tables under the flags in the Commons between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM.
But first, do you know LARA?
The L.A.R.A method is a way to use deep listening and empathy to manage conflict with the intended outcome of de-escalation.
- LISTEN with the intent to understand, not respond.
- AFFIRM to acknowledge what is shared by repeating and rephrasing.
- RESPOND to the issues raised and ask questions
- ADD information to the conversation and continue to ask questions.
Travelers' Lunch is a collaborative project and the goal is to foster inclusive community and cultural awareness. Do you or a group you are in have an idea for a future Travelers' Lunch conversation? We would love to work with you!
