Your Student Accounts Checklist
Welcome to UP! We're so glad you're here.
As you begin your journey with us, there are a few things you'll want to know to help you get started. We look forward to supporting you every step of the way!
Set Up Authorized Users in PilotPay
Parents/guardians or supporters looking to assist or make payments on behalf of their student can set up their authorized user account by signing up here. After the authorized user account has been activated, students will grant access via their PilotPay account.
Set Up Proxy Access
Proxy access is an information release that allows University employees to discuss a student’s account with individuals they designate. This is a separate information release from PilotPay’s “Authorized User” release. Students who would like our office to be able to discuss their account with a parent/guardian or supporter should grant proxy access. Be sure to set up a passphrase and share it with your proxy, as this is how we will verify proxy identity over the phone.
Waive Health Insurance
The University believes that a solid health plan is vital to the wellbeing of our students, and all undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in a PacificSource Health Plan every Fall and Spring term. Students with eligible existing health insurance coverage may complete an online health insurance waiver to opt-out of the health plan and waive the cost of insurance. This waiver must be completed before the deadline every Fall and Spring term. Submit a waiver now.
Set Up Direct Deposit
Any credits on a student’s account will be refunded to them after the add/drop period closes. In most cases, refunds are issued directly to students as a check in the mail. We encourage students to sign up for direct deposit to receive refunds quickly, conveniently, and securely to a bank account of their choosing. Set up direct deposit.
Enroll in a Payment Plan
Students who plan to use a payment plan to cover their out-of-pocket cost each semester should login to PilotPay to review their billing statement and payment plan offers. Payment plans are available in 3-5 month installments with a $62.00 enrollment fee, and students should enroll in a new plan each term they would like to use one. All plans complete by the end of the term, so be sure to review your offers early, as the earlier you enroll the more installments will be available. Login to PilotPay.
529 Payments
If you will be making payments from a college savings plan, you can contact your plan directly to have them send payments to the university electronically. Please include your student’s name and number. For college savings plans that can’t send funds electronically, check payments can be mailed to our office at:
