Pacific Source Student Health Plan
The University believes that a comprehensive health plan is vital to student well-being. All undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in the Pacific Source Student Health Plan unless an approved waiver is submitted.

Questions About Coverage
Questions regarding student health insurance can be directed to USI Student Health.
Study Abroad Students
Students studying abroad:
- Are not required to participate in the University's group health insurance plan.
- Are not automatically enrolled while studying abroad.
- May choose to continue or purchase coverage by contacting Student Accounts.
Graduate Student Coverage
Graduate students may purchase coverage through Pacific Source at https://enroll.pacificsource.com/UP
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
- Payment is due at the time of enrollment.
- Enrollment deadlines and rates apply.
Leave of Absence
Upon Request, students covered by the University's health plan who are approved for a Leave of Absence or Medical Leave:
- Will remain covered through the end of the semester in which the leave is approved.
- Cannot purchase coverage in future semesters while on leave.
- May regain eligibility upon returning to the University.
- Undergraduate students will again be required to carry coverage.
Cost
2026–27 Undergraduate Student Health Insurance Premium: $1,485.50 per semester
2026–27 Graduate Student Health Insurance Premium: $1,967.50 per semester
