What was it like being among the first in your family to go to college? 

Being one of the first in my family to go to college is a huge honor for me. I feel the support of my family and how all the things that they have done have given me the opportunity to be here. 

What is your advice to FGEN students at UP who are facing challenges? 

I'd say that my advice is to know that you are not alone, and you have a community here at FGEN that cares about you and wants to support you. Also, never be afraid to ask for help, we all need it sometimes. 

What resources have been significant, meaningful or helpful for you so far during your UP experience? 

UP has a lot of great resources, but the clubs and peer mentors have definitely had the biggest impact on me.
