Andrew Mendenhall ‘95
Dr. Andrew Mendenhall is President and CEO of Central City Concern, a leading organization here in Portland that helps people find home, regain health, and move toward long-term stability and success.
The seeds of Andy’s life of service were planted right here on The Bluff. In 1991, when he was a freshman, he and some friends rented a van, made 150 pounds of spaghetti, and delivered it all to Transitions Projects in downtown Portland.
This sparked something for Andy, and he’s gone on to a brilliant career of promoting health and well-being for those on the margins.
After earning his medical degree, he worked as a physician, then co-founded HealthWorks Northwest, an outpatient integrated treatment program. He then joined Central City Concern and, recently, became its President and CEO.
