Future Commencement Dates
The University of Portland’s Commencement ceremony traditionally takes place on a Sunday. Commencement is always held on the first Sunday of May, and this pattern is expected to continue in future years.
Below are the anticipated Commencement dates for the next five years. Please note that specific ceremony details, including times and logistics, will be shared closer to each event.
Upcoming Commencement Dates
- Friday, April 30 - Sunday, May 2, 2027
- Friday, May 5 - Sunday, May 7, 2028
- Friday, May 4 - Sunday, May 6, 2029
- Friday, May 3 - Sunday, May 5, 2030
- Friday, May 2 - Sunday, May 4, 2031
Commencement webpages for each respective year will be published by December 1 of the preceding year. For example, information for the 2027 Commencement ceremony will be available by December 1, 2026.
The number of guest tickets per graduate will be finalized and shared by February of the year of graduation.
Graduates and guests are encouraged to use these dates for long-term planning. Additional information will be posted on the Commencement website as it becomes available.
