Sacramental Preparation

Invitation.  Relationship.  Communion.

Interested in becoming Catholic or completing your Sacraments of Initiation while at UP?  Then you've found the right page!  Through Campus Ministry, UP offers the opportunity for students to be baptized, receive their first Holy Communion, and be confirmed in the Catholic Church.  Sacramental Preparation processes vary from person to person and group to group.  Based on the needs of each year's OCIA and Confirmation Cohorts, we generally begin Catechetical Meetings in October, with preparation for OCIA culminating in the Easter Vigil and Confirmation during the Easter Season.

If you are interested in joining one of these cohorts to explore a path toward full communion and sacramental presence in the Catholic Church, please contact Veronica Ramirez at ramirezv@up.edu or Br. James Walters, C.S.C. at walterja@up.edu.  Veronica can be found in her office in St. Mary's Student Center in the Campus Ministry offices, and Br. James can be found in his office on the Upper Level of the Chapel of Christ the Teacher.
