Discover the beauty of the first illuminated, handwritten Bible to be commissioned by a Benedictine monastery in more than 500 years through The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition presented by the Director of The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program, Brad Neary. This edition is the only full-size illuminated fine art edition of the original manuscript that will ever be produced. Bound in Italian leather, the Heritage Edition features the exquisite calligraphy, vibrant imagery and stunning gold and silver illuminations inspired by the original manuscript of The Saint John’s Bible, which is curated and on permanent display in the The Saint John’s Bible Gallery at Saint John’s University in Minnesota.

In all, only 299 seven-volume Heritage Editions have been created, and because many of the 160 major illuminations were hand-finished, each Heritage Edition is unique. Donald Jackson was the creative director in making these limited editions and through his meticulous attention to every aspect of its production, the heritage Edition is true to the artistic intent of the original. These beautiful volumes are used in worship, academics, fine arts and community outreach-thereby realizing the mission of The Saint John’s Bible: “To ignite the spiritual imagination of people around the world.”
