Lofting & De-Lofting Your Bed
Adjusting your bed height can help create more space and improve your room setup. Whether you are lofting your bed for storage or lowering it for easier access, follow the steps below and use the video as your primary guide.

Before You Begin
- Work with at least one other person
- Clear the area around your bed
- Remove bedding, mattress, and any items from the frame
- Make sure you understand your specific bed type before starting
How to Loft a Bed
- Remove the mattress and set it aside
- Lift the bed frame off the current pins or slots
- Insert lofting pins into the desired higher position
- Carefully raise the frame and align it with the pins
- Secure the frame firmly onto the pins
- Replace the mattress and confirm the bed is stable
How to De-Loft (Lower) a Bed
- Remove the mattress
- Lift the frame off the lofted pins
- Remove the pins and reinsert them at a lower height
- Lower the frame back onto the pins
- Ensure everything is secure before use
Safety Tips
- Always lift with proper technique and communicate with your partner
- Never force the frame into place
- Double check that all pins are fully inserted and aligned
- Test stability before putting weight on the bed
