LOG Yearbook Copy Editor
Duties and responsibilities associated with the position
- Oversees two staff writers delegating and assigning stories
- Has creative insight and into how to best capture the year in written form along with the ability to give strong direction to writers
- Oversees all editing and proofing of all copy
- Responsible for all story ideas and copy written for the yearbook, in consultation with the Editor
General qualifications and requirements
- Required: comprehensive knowledge of AP Style and is proficient in grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.
Time commitment and required availability
- Regular contributor, writing 11-15 stories (200-400 words) per semester
- Must attend all editorial and staff meetings (2/week). Absences must be cleared in advance through the Editor and Advisor
